Some website jobs involve doing the same thing over and over: moving product details from a file, updating two systems or rearranging a spreadsheet before uploading it. I can look at whether automation or a connection between your tools would help.
Tell me what’s stuckI start with how you do the job now. The exceptions matter too: the file that arrives in a different format, or the record you have to check by hand. Understanding those parts helps me decide what can run automatically and what should stay under your control.
I can build a way to import product information, content or other records from a file into your website. I check how the information is organised and how to recognise existing records, so an updated item can be handled differently from a new one.
If you regularly download a file, change its columns and upload it elsewhere, I can look at having software do those steps. It still needs to handle mistakes, such as a missing column, and make it apparent when something needs your attention.
Integrations allow separate tools to share information. I can check whether your systems offer a supported connection or a file export I can work with. Before building anything, I’ll establish where information should be edited and which changes should carry across.
Sometimes you need a screen where you can check records, make corrections or run an import yourself. I can build a small application for that job, taking account of who will use it and what they need to see.
Show me one run through the task and tell me how often it comes up. I’ll weigh the work involved against the time it might save. If it’s worth doing, I can start with one part and test it with sample files, including incomplete or unexpected information. You can check the results before relying on it.
I track my time and invoice periodically. We discuss scope and priorities together, so you know what I’m working on and why.
