Stuck in the Weeds is an independent web development business based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why I use it and the choices available to you.

Information I collect

• Information you provide: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form or email me directly.
• Technical and security information: your IP address, browser or device information, request metadata and security signals needed to deliver and protect the website.
• Business correspondence: information you provide if we discuss or work on a project together.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the contact form unless it is necessary for your request.

How I use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and communicate about requested services.
• To prepare proposals, provide services and maintain business records.
• To prevent spam, abuse and security incidents.
• To troubleshoot and improve the reliability of the website.
• To meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations where applicable.

I do not sell or rent your personal information and do not use contact-form submissions for unrelated marketing.

Service providers

I use a limited number of service providers to operate this website:

• Cloudflare provides website hosting, content delivery, security and Turnstile bot protection. Turnstile processes signals such as your IP address, user-agent, TLS fingerprint and the website origin to distinguish people from bots. Read Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
• Resend processes and delivers contact-form emails. Read Resend’s Privacy Policy.
• Email providers store and deliver correspondence sent to or from my business email account.

These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare and Turnstile may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate, secure and protect the website.

Retention and safeguards

I keep inquiries and correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a business relationship, maintain required records or resolve disputes. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably needed.

I use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your privacy choices

You may ask whether I hold personal information about you and request access, correction or deletion, subject to any legal exceptions or retention requirements. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.
